Documentary Opportunity

Hi!

We are looking for a crew to do a documentary on/about intuitive, alternative high school students and their journey through life to date.  But wait there's more...  These alternative high school student's journey is about to be turned upside down as the student's will meet with a local psychic/medium who will address their past pains, experiences, and future desires through intuitive readings.  Our intention is to document the healing, self-discovery, and personal growth of these student's which will take place as a result of the spiritual guidance.

Internship opportunity with High Noon Entertainment


INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

About High Noon Entertainment:

We are one of America’s leading providers of story-driven, unscripted/reality entertainment, scheduled to deliver more than 500 hours of programming for the 2010-2011 television season to networks including History Channel, VH1, Discovery, TLC, Food Network, HGTV, Fine Living, and DIY.  Currently High Noon Entertainment has several programs in production in our Los Angeles, Denver and New York offices.

High Noon Entertainment has a limited number of internships available in the Denver office and priority will be given to college juniors and seniors. Interns should have good communication and writing skills.  Must be reliable and have a passion for television.  Please note our internships are unpaid.  You must receive college credit for the internship.

Duties:
The intern, assigned to a working show, will be involved in all aspects of show production for leading networks. Candidates should anticipate performing a myriad of production duties, from basic tasks like logging and transcribing through more advanced research and casting, story-pitch writing, and potentially some assistance in the editing process. 

Please apply 12 weeks prior to the semester.

Minimum hours per week: 8 - 16   

Interested candidates should prepare a cover letter answering the following questions. What do you want to accomplish?  What are your career goals?  Which High Noon Entertainment program are you interested in? 

Along with your cover letter, please submit:  Current resume and two letters of reference.  A confirmation letter from school confirming credit will be earned, along with the number of credit hours earned for the internship.

2 month filmmaking adventure!

Prospective filmmakers,


I am currently carving a cottonwood tree...into a dugout canoe! I will put in, in Littleton, NEXT MONTH, and paddle tp St. Louis. I have trouble filming while I PADDLE. If you are up for a two-three MONTH advemture, full of hardships, you might come up with a pretty cool movie...The tree is behing Platte River Bar and Grill, in Littleton. Museum of Outdoor Arts seeking film/video intern

The Museum of Outdoor Arts in Englewood, CO is seeking a part time film/video intern for this Summer to document the key points in an education program. Intern will assemble a short documentary at the end of the program that will be used for educational outreach and organizations archive. Student will be awarded a $1,000 stipend.

Hours: Thursday through Saturday, June 30, 2011 - August 13, 2011

Qualifications: Must be an undergraduate student. Student is able to use organizations camera equipment, but no editing suite is provided, although technical support is available. Student with a laptop editing suite is ideal. Final Cut Pro is preferred.

Videographer needed for Basketball game on April 21st

I'm writing to inform the Colorado Film School of a great opportunity for filming a short movie/highlight film for an event that will be taking place in Loveland, Colorado on April 21, 2011 at Mountain View High School. We are looking for somebody to film a basketball game between the Harlem Ambassadors Professional Basketball Team and Team Fox, which is a group of local celebrities, who have gathered to raise money for the Michael J. Foundation and finding a cure to Parkinson's Disease. The game last about 2 hours and we are looking for somebody who can capture it from all angles to help promote future events. Senior Video Producer, Sales Channel Training

Job Description
The Senior Video Producer, Sales Channel Training is responsible for designing and creating video projects and teaming with a variety of collaborators to create award-winning broadcast material. This involves all phases of the design process, including concept, development, look and feel, animation, graphic design, and production. A vivid imagination, excellent communication skills and ability to multitask is a must.

Specifically, this position is responsible for:
  • Supporting Live and recorded broadcast efforts with design direction as well as assist in product design efforts including conceptual proposals and creative execution. 
  • Assist the Channel Training Team and product design efforts including conceptual proposals and creative execution.
  • Revise and version pre-produced spots received from our programmers and adapt to DISH Network branding.
  • Video editing as needed

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent design skills
  • Well-versed in software programs like or including Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premier), Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.  Experience with Soundtrack Pro and Logic Pro a plus.
  • Ability to generate multiple and distinct compositions while interpreting client’s needs.
  • Understand brand and marketing objectives and proactively contribute to the evolutions and success of the business.
  • Develop layouts and storyboards.
  • Participate in concept development and design ideation.
  • Create visual design solutions that address business, brand, and market requirements.
  • Must be able to install programs, hook up/connect computer, and troubleshoot computer problems
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in a corporate office environment.

Internship Opportunity with PeaceJam

PeaceJam is an international education program built around leading Nobel Peace Laureates who work personally with youth to pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody. The goal of PeaceJam is to inspire a new generation of young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world. It was founded in Denver in 1996 to address issues with youth through education, inspiration and action.


As a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit, PeaceJam is looking for interns to help with operations through the upcoming year. One of the internships focuses on film making and film editing. The position requires logging film material, cutting archive footage of Nobel Prize Laureates into educational material, and filming of PeaceJam events in the fall. The internship, while unpaid, is very flexible - interns will work a minimum of four hours a week for two months.
