Position Title: Broadcast and Digital Media Specialist

The college is a progressive, dynamic, culturally diverse institution experiencing rapid growth, but with a strong commitment to high quality education and student and employee success. This position will work with the communications team as well as other departments to create videos that promote and market the college. The person hired for this position must have a high level of creativity to develop videos that will inspire people to learn more about CCA – videos that make people want to share them with others. The person in this position films, edits, and produces short and long videos and original education programming to be aired on CCA’s Public Television Channel 54 and Web. This position maintains Channel 54 daily schedule and broadcast equipment. This person will be required to work some nights and weekends filming college lectures and events.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage college public TV station (broadcast): help develop the vision for station, manage content, and manage technical aspects of the station including content and equipment management, scheduling, and other duties as needed
- Create storyboard, film, and edit videos for CCA, including testimonials, department videos, promotional videos and other broadcast media
- Responsible for securing and airing external educational programming
- Create CCA calendar slides, station IDs and graphics
- Script, film, and edit original programs to air on Channel 54 and the Web
- Film live college lectures and events for Channel 54 and the Web
- Produce professional commercials for CCA marketing
- Develop creative video content for Web, specifically meant for online sharing
- Compress final product for delivery on DVDs, Websites and Channel 54
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/will substitute high level work experience on year for year basis
- Experience using digital HD video equipment
- Experience as a videographer/camera operator with excellent lighting and audio skills
- Experience with video editing producing creative and professional videos
- Experience with Mac computers and Final Cut
- Experience with YouTube, Vimeo, and the creation and management of Web video content
- Highly motivated/self-starter/creative/ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Have the ability to work with a variety of people including faculty, staff, students and community members
- Strong written/verbal skills
- Experience using Adobe After Effects
- Adept at using Adobe Flash for video content and graphics
- Experience creating viral videos
- Experience in broadcast
- Strong technical knowledge of digital media
