Position Summary:

The DVD Production Manager is responsible for supervising all UFC DVD programming and production efforts, including developing new titles and concepts, directing production of original and re-purposed content, overseeing the encoding/authoring process, and assuring timely delivery to distribution partners. The primary objective of this position is to generate UFC DVD and Blu-ray products with premium entertainment value and the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:


Manage the production of all DVD and Blu-ray products, including programming and producing, art direction, content creation, encoding/authoring, quality assurance and timely delivery.


Supervise DVD department staff in all phases of the production process, providing leadership, scheduling, direction and feedback at every step along the way.


Develop new DVD programming concepts, including specialty titles, compilations, and documentaries.


Serve as lead producer for original DVD programming, including concept development, creative direction, writing, and other producer functions.


Produce and edit DVD programming and content, as needed. Supervised other producer/editors in the creation of DVD programming and content. Establish and maintain the highest possible creative standards and production value.


Encode assets and author DVD or Blu-ray discs, as needed. Supervised others in the encoding/authoring of DVD masters. Maintain the highest possible technical standards and quality control.


Work closely with outside production vendors on out-sourced DVD projects. Provide vendors with proper guidance, elements and approvals, and establish an efficient workflow between vendors and Zuffa DVD production staff.


Interface with domestic and international distribution partners to establish release schedules. Ensure all deliverables are timely and meet the highest quality standards.


Work with creative department and production team to design graphics and package artwork, ensuring a cohesive look and high creative standards for all artwork and graphic elements.

Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Television Production or related field with emphasis on video production.


5+ years television production / video production experience. Demonstrated skills as a producer, editor and writer. Should be a skilled storyteller.


3+ years of Final Cut Pro experience, fluent in After Effects and Photoshop graphics programs. Long-form editing experience preferred.


3+ years experience producing DVD products, including hands-on experience in authoring DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Extensive knowledge of and technical expertise in programming languages, formats and software used to create these products.


Television / Home Entertainment programming experience preferred.


Management experience preferred.


Knowledge of UFC and MMA are a plus.
