The Office for Civil Rights at the US Dept of Education in Denver is interested in working with students to produce a film about our wounded warriors returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. We need help developing a video series that would teach colleges and universities how best to work with wounded warriors. As envisioned, this may involve interviewing (on camera) wounded warriors, agency representatives, college officials, etc., throughout next year, to develop videos that could be shown at several serial regional conferences or posted online.
This would be a great opportunity for students to apply their film skills while serving the community. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information about this project.
